Shop With Shar specializes in pet related gifts for people and their furry companions. We believe pets are important members of the family and should be treated as such.

Sharon has spent 20 years working with emotionally disturbed and learning impaired students. If allowed, she always had a live animal in class. She has always felt that live animals not only teach responsibility, but more importantly, they teach people that it’s okay to be loved and to give love back.

After teaching, Sharon decided to start a pet sitting service. While starting that business she worked part time as a veterinarian assistant at a local animal hospital. Not only did she pet sit cats, dogs, rabbits and birds, but also horses, pigs, goats and other “farm” animals.

Due to Sharon's father’s health, she moved to Lincoln, CA to help him out. She started volunteering at a local SPCA. She answered calls from home about the SPCA’s spaying and neutering program. She has been volunteering now for 5 years and finds it very rewarding to know she's helping animals find a new home and that she's taking part in getting the word out about the importance of spaying and neutering companion animals.

Sharon decided it was time to follow her dream and start her own business selling pet products and gifts for people that are pet-lovers. She knew she wanted to remain working with pets in some capacity and greatly enjoys working in this industry. She currently has one dog named Lucky who is a Dalmatian mix and weighs 89 pounds. She found him 9 years ago running in a rural area as a tiny puppy looking lost. He has been such a wonderful addition to my life. In her words, "It is my belief that pets enhance our lives and I feel we have an obligation to enhance theirs too."
